`Hey, I am also new here. I am and Irish centered Gaelic and Celtic (as a whole) reconstructionist. While I am not a practitioner of Wicca traditional or non-traditional, it is an interesting topic imo, and after 21 years of being Pagan I am fairly well versed on the subject.

One of my best friends online is actually a second degree initiate from Britain. She has written a few articles on subjects like "The Wiccan Rede law or guideline" and a few others.

Anyway - I'm rambling. I hope I can help some with understandings, history, practice and the like.

Hey, im Ken, and I identify myself as a buddhist, but I have alot of friends that are wiccan, and ive noticed that we have very similar beliefs and practices. Now buddhism is a very broad religion, so I cant speak for all buddhist, but there is a thin line somewhere in there that parrallels Wicca, and thats kinda where im at.
I beleve in mana/magic/chi. I can meditate, gather my energy throughout my body and focus it anywhere I want. I can feel other peoples energy and they can feel mine. There are a few different energy types but they can all be learned. Ive got a pretty good understanding of how it all works, it would take forever to write it all down lol.
Thats just a small portion of my spirituality, most of it is philosphy and way of life type stuff.
Im interested to learn more about wicca.
I also want to learn more about a number of different religions with similar beliefs.

Under sharp diamond lights, reborn again
from passing of the day
One with the shadowy veil, you'll find me dwelt
in dead calm, silence, alive in presence,

When the moon is full, and the cloak of night black and outstreched
as the crows wings aflight,
Streching afar as the hawks piercing sight.
You'll find me there....

In my plight under the moonlight through grave stones and trees
Unspoken screams musically play for my dreams
of loving hearts breathing, though in flames
My yearning for blissfull joined lips of red rain

Embroidered with faithlessnes, blood tears engraved
with resting place littered, corpse ridden,
still playing with pain
While grieving along with the passing of autumn leaves,
falling with colourful dreams ripped away.

between grave stones and trees
winds musical of screams
with the dreams of red rain
in the monlight so fair.....

there really ought to be a poetry/writing forum on this site too, or....maybe I just missed it.
PS: I misspelt "moonlight" on the 2nd last line! Dang it! ....geuss I didn't a whole lot of awareness that day. ....ok, that was lame. hahahah (yeah, I'm a bit of a perfectionist with certain things. and yes, to much perfectionism annoys me too at times. lol)
