Not your usual Wiccan...

Not your usual Wiccan... OK, 2000 characters or less, huh? Well, my name's Scott, I've been Wiccan for 15 years, which seems to be a long time in this Path. I'll start by saying I'm NOT Anti-Christian. I grew up Catholic, and actually have great respect for the Bible. I also respect the Qu'ran, the Kojiki, and the Baghavad Gita. I'm sure you get the idea....

I view religion as a way to commune with the Divine, whatever that means to the individual. If the Path provides a moral compass for the treatment of others and general interactions with the world, why does it matter what they choose to call their god/goddess?

In the end, I believe we'll all be wrong about the nature of the Divine, and Wicca is the way I've chosen to be wrong. It seems to make the most sense to me.

I am looking for someone who is at least curious about Wicca. For too long, I've been forced to keep my altar in a box in te closet, for fear of what her friends or family might think. I want someone who is open to my Path, one who realizes it's an integral part of my personality. So to accept Wicca is to accept the WHOLE me.

And you must love dogs. Cat people are just fine with me (we are Witches, after all, and I know very few Wiccans who have never owned a black cat) but as I am childless, and will remain so, my dogs are my children. They are part of the deal.

And for the record, as all my dogs are just fine with cats, I will never, ever, ask you to get rid of your feline family....
